Active Hive Hike – Pateley Bridge & Coldstones Cut Circular
30 August 2026
Wildings Riverside Cafe
A scenic six-mile circular walk from Pateley Bridge, climbing to the spectacular Coldstones Cut before an easier downhill return and well-earned refreshments in town.

Join us on Sunday 30th August for a beautiful 10km circular hike beginning outside Wildings Riverside Cafe in Pateley Bridge.
We’ll meet at 10:15am ready for a prompt 10:30am start, with parking available at Southlands Short Stay Car Park or along nearby roads.
The route includes around 310m of elevation as we make our way up to Coldstones Cut, Yorkshire’s largest and highest public artwork, where we’ll allow plenty of time to explore and enjoy the far-reaching views before heading downhill on the return journey.
The walk should take approximately three and a half hours, plus time for breaks, photographs and our packed lunch stop. Please bring a packed lunch, plenty of water and wear suitable trail shoes or walking boots, as the route will include uneven paths and countryside terrain.
We’ll finish back in Pateley Bridge, where anyone who fancies staying on can join us for a drink at a local pub.
